“The troupe, which touts a long history, is composed solely of female actors who play all roles, including those of males, in lavish, Broadway-style productions of Western-style musicals. They are loved for their original recreations of stories adapted from films, novels, manga series, and Japanese folktales. Former performers include the pre-eminent Japanese actress Yuki Amami.
