Constantine Maroulis to Star in Broadway-Bound JEKYLL & HYDE Tour

JEKYLL & HYDE, presented by Nederlander Presentations Inc, will return to Broadway in Spring 2013 following a national tour starring Tony Award Nominee Constantine Maroulis in the dual title role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde. The 25 week tour will kick off at San Diego's Civic Theatre in San Diego, California on October 2, 2012.

After four years on Broadway and multiple world-wide tours, this rousing gothic musical based on the classic tale of good and evil by Oscar and Grammy winner Leslie Bricusse and Tony and Grammy Award nominee Frank Wildhorn will return in a new production that includes all the classic songs that transformed JEKYLL & HYDE into a theatrical phenomenon.

Based on the work by Robert Louis Stevenson and conceived for the stage by Steve Cuden and Frank Wildhorn, the four time Tony Award Nominated musical JEKYLL & HYDE features book & lyrics by two-time Oscar winner, Emmy winner and four-time Tony Award Nominee Leslie Bricusse, music by Frank Wildhorn, and will be directed and choreographed by Tony Award Nominee Jeff Calhoun.

JEKYLL & HYDE had its world premiere at Houston's Alley Theatre in 1990. Starring were Chuck Wagner as Jekyll and Hyde, Linda Eder as Lucy, and Rebecca Spencer as Lisa. Jekyll was the Alley's first fully-produced new musical, and it broke box office records, played to sold-out houses, and won acclaim from audiences and critics alike.

Jekyll opened on Broadway on 28 April 1997, and became the longest-running show in the history of the Plymouth Theater. The original cast was led by Robert Cuccioli, Linda Eder and Christiane Noll.
